The Fourth China International Exhibition of Rehabilitation, Nursing & Healthcare for Elderly and Disabled People ( China Aid 2007 ) will be held at Intex Shanghai, Oct.5th-7th 2007. On the occasion of World Expo 2010, expanding the city barrier-free facility market will be the special feature of China Aid 2007.
After Olympic Games 2008, World Expo 2010 will be another international gathering on a grand scale. Shanghai has built 5.28 million square meters for the Expo, and nearly 200 country and company halls will be built. The construction area of the exhibition hall is 800,000 sqms, and the overall construction area is 1,500,000 sqms, including the area of ancillary facilities, commercial facilities and World Expo village. This year 145 highway transport hubs around Shanghai have been confirmed in Shanghai and 84 comprehensive transport hubs will be built by 2010.
The above means that there is a great demand for barrier-free facilities, and China Aid 2007 will build a bridge between World Expo and barrier-free facility companies. During the event, World Expo will send responsible people to visit the show.
In recent years, barrier-free facility has been developed rapidly in Shanghai, which has obtained the honor of model city of barrier-free facility construction. “Shanghai barrier-free facility construction and operation management methods” has been announced in March 2007, which will benefit more disabled and elderly people and make our society more harmonious.
