With the approach of 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games, as an associated event of the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games, sales and promotion of the Fourth China International Exhibition of Rehabilitation, Nursing & Healthcare for Elderly and Disabled People(CHINA AID 2007) is being conducted hotly.

The Show is jointly hosted by Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, Shanghai Disabled Person’s Federation and Council for Promotion of International Trade Shanghai, has also been strongly supported by the Civil Administration Ministry P.R. China, China Disabled Person’s Federation, Shanghai Municipal Committee on Aging, China Assistive Devices and Technology Centre for Persons with Disabilities as well as Civil Affairs Bureaus of other provinces and Disabled Person’s Federations of other provinces. In accordance with the spirit of all previous CHINA AID shows, which mainly express society’s care on the aged and the disabled, CHINA AID 2007 will enlarge its exhibit scale and show scope since it has been successfully held three times so far. The scope of this show covers special medical equipment, instruments for mobility, appliance for rehabilitation and nursing, special sanitary equipment, special bedroom accessories, special studying and communicating equipment, barrier-free facilities as well as introductions to all relevant institutions, such as financial and insurance services, rest homes, apartments and travel agencies for the aged, displaying a wider range of items. To our great joy, this year’s show has attracted much attention from a great number of well-known companies. According to the current statistics, 80% booths have already been reserved and many famous brand enterprises in the rehabilitation, nursing and healthcare product industry have decided to participate our show, such as, INVACARE, THYSSENKRUPP, VIMEC, VERMEIREN, NISSIN, MIKI, MATSUNAGA, QIANJING, YUYUE, HUBANG, CIJI etc. They all put high expectations on this show.

This show is considered a bridge between enterprises and leaders of 2010 Shanghai World Expo Administrative Bureau, which increases their exchange on the necessity and inspection of barrier-free facilities for the 2010 World Expo. A number of performances during the show for handicapped and aged people to perform their calligraphy, painting and knitting skills on the spot will fully reflect handicapped and aged people’s spare time in the present age and display their fine qualities of constantly striving to become stronger, working hard and aiming high, and struggling tenaciously. Release on the spot up-to-date information on the old-age welfare policies of different governments all over the country and the trends of old-age support markets will send government’s much care and attention to the elderly people.
