To implement Minhang District’s ‘Retirement Planning Consultant One-Stop Service Community Empowerment Plan’, further consolidate the foundation of community-based elderly services, and enhance the professional capabilities of grassroots elderly service teams, Hongqiao Town recently carried out a special themed publicity and education campaign, focusing on two key areas – pension finance and retirement planning – to provide professional and practical knowledge training for elderly service workers in the jurisdiction.
The event was held at the Hongqiao Town Hongsong East Road Community Comprehensive Elderly Service Center, and was mainly aimed at management and key personnel from elderly care institutions and home-based care service organizations, community elderly affairs cadres, active community volunteers, and other elderly service-related personnel.
The event centered on two core themes:‘What is healthy pension finance?’ and ‘How should future retirement planning be approached?’, closely addressing the most concerning and realistic elderly care issues of the current elderly population, and precisely matching the actual needs of grassroots elderly service work.
What is healthy elderly-care finance?This themed course was taught on-site by financial experts from Bank of Shanghai, who popularized basic elderly-care financial knowledge and analyzed in detail the wealth management approaches suitable for middle-aged and elderly groups. They also exposed common elderly-care fraud schemes prevalent in the market today.
What should future elderly-care planning look like?This themed course focused on explaining the various convenient functions of the ‘Leling Smart WeChat Mini Program’ that are closely related to the daily lives of the elderly, detailing how elderly people living alone at home can quickly book the services they need.
The implementation of this educational activity effectively helped grassroots elderly-care service personnel thoroughly understand elderly-care planning knowledge and skillfully utilize community elderly-care service resources, enabling them to better provide professional and refined elderly-care guidance services to elderly residents in the jurisdiction. It not only effectively enhanced the comprehensive service capabilities of the grassroots elderly-care service team, but also laid a solid foundation for continuously improving the quality of life and happiness of the elderly community in the jurisdiction, strengthening neighborhood connections, and fostering a warm and mutually supportive community elderly-care atmosphere.
